Our recent stay at Crestwood House was our third, and we once again thoroughly enjoyed this spacious home and the neighborhood around it. The rooms are open and welcoming, extremely well appointed, sparkling clean, and Erin's touch makes every space special. From comfortable beds to the fantastic playroom and the cook's kitchen, it has become our favorite place to rest, restore, and enjoy all that is available in the DC area. Erin is the best host imaginable, we hope to return for many more visits in the future!

Our family of 6, including two teens and two tweens, loved this house! Really convenient location in the most charming neighborhood, amazing restaurants within walking distance, easy Uber in and out of DC. The house was exceptionally clean with space to spread out, all the amenities, and was the perfect landing pad for exploring the area. Easy trip to/from DCA. We hope to come back soon!

Our stay at the 402 House was lovely from start to finish. The house is within walkable distance of everything you could need— parking garage, restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies, etc. Erin was super accommodating and responsive— the microwave malfunctioned and she stopped by right away to replace it, which we all greatly appreciated! We all really enjoyed our cozy stay (and had so much fun with the foosball table downstairs!), and we were so glad that we found such gem in Alexandria with such a wonderful host. 🩵

This is the best home away from home. Everything in this home is beautiful and comfortable. Our family of six enjoyed this home, the comfortable beds, upgraded kitchen, multiple sitting/TV rooms, and outdoor space. Erin thank you for such a great experience and great communication. Our family had a fabulous one week stay at Erin’s property. The house is incredibly charming and Erin has meticulously thought of all the details to make a guest’s stay as comfortable as possible. We were impressed by the high-end amenities, as well as Erin’s availability to answer any questions. We also loved the convenience of being so close to King Street and the harbor. Kids and adults alike had a memorable time and we highly recommend considering staying at Erin’s beautiful home.

Wow- this home was incredible. The beds were extremely comfortable - our entire family slept as well as we do at home, maybe even better! High quality sheets, super comfy mattresses - amazing sleep! The living room furniture was so comfortable, as well. Such a pleasant, well appointed home and the location cannot be beat. We loved our stay here and would happily stay again! 402 House exceeded our expectations in every way! I honestly do not have words for how awesome this house is. It is even more beautiful than the pictures indicate, and the location can't be beat. First, the appearance: The home is beautiful and completely renovated and updated throughout. The decor is very pleasant and appealing, and truly no detail is overlooked. There is not so much as a spec of dust nor a scuff on any surface. It is absolutely immaculate! It even smells wonderful! I took several photos of products and various decor items that I want to have in my own home! Next, the comfort: as with the decor, every detail is considered. The kitchen is fully outfitted with every dish, cooking implement, appliance, and even spices and coffee/tea. We cooked "at home" several nights. There are three bedrooms upstairs: a master with a king bed and gorgeous en suite, and two bedrooms with queens that share a full bath. There also is a full-size washer/dryer set upstairs--very handy. The ground floor has a half-bath off the kitchen. The basement has a queen bedroom and full bath, as well as a family room with couch, TV, and foosball--so fun! The living room on the main floor has a couch that's so comfortable that I seriously considered sleeping on it! The spaces themselves seem much larger in person than they appear in the photos. We had four people from Austin, TX, for the full week plus two local family members in and out and we had tons of space to spread out or hang out together. And the location: also perfect. The house is very convenient to King Street, the waterfront, and lots of restaurants and shopping. There is a Safeway within about 1.5 blocks, and a CVS too. You can catch the King Street Trolley and go right to the Metro Station to catch the Metro into DC. It's so convenient! Old Town is worth some time too---so many good restaurants and shops! The 402 House is slightly off the beaten path, so it's very quiet. There is a parking spot in the back, but we were conscious of impinging on the neighbors so our local family just parked out front or slightly down the block with no issue. Erin, the host, is as wonderful as her home. She is communicative and responsive, and very easy to plan with! Check-in and check-out are very simple and smooth. I truly cannot think of a single thing I would want to change about this incredible home. We have rented homes all over the world, and I can honestly say (as many other reviewers have) that this is the loveliest and most comfortable home we have ever stayed in. We did not want to leave and will definitely be back! Thank you so much, Erin!
